Things are warming up…

After a rather quiet winter, our spring and summer activities are picking up. We started out with the recording of another video for the NPR Tiny Desk Contest. Our melody was code named “Blue Deli” which was originally simply meant to be a place holder but Jeanine got inspired and penned some lyrics and voila, a new song!

Next we played some really cool events including opening for our Django in June friends Lisa Liu and Dallas Vietty at the Sandy Spring Museum and then another gig with our good friend Rick Olivarez at the Georgetown French Market.

Looking ahead we’ve got some fun events lined up for the summer. Starting on May 1 we’ll be back at the New Deal Cafe. Then in June we’ll return to the Washington Folk Festival on June 2 and then Vini Culture in Frederick on June 7 before our annual trek to Django in June in Northhampton Mass.

In the late summer we’ll return to one of our favorites, the Red heifer Winery, for a trio event on August 31st and then with the full band on Sept 28th for the Fall Craft Beverage Festival featuring guitar wizard Rick Olivarez. Interspersed with these will be several Central Farm Markets and some special events to be announced later.
