We’re back from a week at Django in June at Smith College in Northampton MA and what a week it was. Classes, concerts, and jamming until 5am almost every night. There are not enough superlatives in my vocabulary to do justice to the experience. Needless to say, we got infused with the spirit of Django and are ready to tackle our busy summer schedule.

We continue with our regular gigs at Claudia’s Steakhouse on the second Saturday of the month. This year, that falls on Bastille Day (July 14) so we’ll be sure to play a lot of French tunes for that gig. We have another Bastille day celebration at Aspenwood Sr. Living and the last time that we played there, the staff went all out with French decor. We continue our series at the Central Farm markets at Pike and Rose, Westfield, and Mosaic and are looking forward to playing August 4 at the Red Heifer winery in Smithsburg MD. This is a fun event so bring a picnic basket and pick up a bottle of wine for a relaxing evening.
As the summer winds down, we will have a busy September with additional gigs at the Takoma Park Folk festival and a return engagement at the Red Heifer winery. It’s going to be a great summer season and we’re looking forward to seeing our friends. Check the calendar page and Facebook for more details on these events.
